Dr Sophie Magnet is working as a technical advisor at PATH and is based in Switzerland. She is supporting PATH’s work in SARS-CoV-2 environmental surveillance, which includes supporting researchers to expand environmental surveillance to low-and middle-income countries and open sewage settings. Sophie holds a Ph.D. in microbiology and has more than 15 years of experience in research and surveillance in the field of antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial/diagnostic development. In her role at PATH, she is also involved in several projects related to preparedness and response to infectious disease threats in low and middle income countries.
